Dominica Moore is a published author and a freelance journalist from Kalamazoo, Michigan. She is a graduate of Western Michigan University with B. A. in Journalism and Marketing.
From the time she graduated college, she has traveled the world, where her work often takes her to many exotic places. Although she’s been to many places throughout Europe, her favorite regions of the world to visit are in Asia and Africa.
She adores Asian cuisine. In particular, she favors wantons, sushi, egg drop soup, Asian style chicken and pork.
Coming from a family of three children, she and her siblings often enjoyed cooking together as a family with their parents.
Throughout the day, she is busy with research for her articles. On her spare time, she’s working on her next book. However, she also likes to take some time out to hang out with friends. In particular, she’s favors intimate dinner parties consisting of herself, her own date, and at least two other couples.
Her favorite wines are Julio Gallo, although she is open to drinking sweet liquors. Once in a while, she likes to have a beer when she’s among friends and family, so long as it’s in a casual setting.
The garden is one of her favorite places to unwind. Hers consists of tulips, roses, gardenias, and shrubbery. She also has a vegetable garden consisting of tomatoes, cucumbers, potatoes, cabbage, lettuce, squash, zucchini, string beans, and carrots.
It was her great-great grandfather who inspired her to take up gardening for a hobby.
Being an adamant gardener himself when Dominica was a child, he often took her and her brothers out to the garden where they would all pick the vegetables, wash them, and taken them into his kitchen where he would slice the potatoes and zucchini to make pancakes out of them. He then drizzled them with honey. Although it has been years since he passed on in life, Dominica likes to keep his memory alive through making such pancakes as treats for her family and friends.
Dominica often likes to take walks in her local parks, observing all the beauty of nature. She loves taking in the fresh scent in the air during the spring time, her favorite time of the year.
Although she loves reading all kinds of literature, she favors many of the classics such as Louisa May Alcott, William Shakespeare, Homer, Ralph Ellison, the Bronte sisters, Oscar Wilde, and Sylvia Plath.
Her favorite William Shakespeare plays are MacBeth, Romeo and Juliet, and All’s Well, End’s Well.
Twice a month, she likes to attend plays at her local theaters.
Sometimes, she likes to enjoy quiet evenings at home through watching a movie from her DVD collection, while reclining on her sofa.
When the mood strikes her, she likes to go out clubbing with friends.
To stay healthy, she often visits one of her local gyms to work out. She often likes to get up at the crack of dawn to go jogging with her neighbors, and then come home to have a latte, her favorite kind of coffee.
