Day 61: (Write Your Future) There Are Many Things I Envision Myself Achieving

Sitting back and closing my eyes, there are many things I envision myself doing and achieving for the future.  However, first off I envision myself going up to a platform accepting some sort of honor and award for my writing.  Knowing I’ve impacted lives would make a tremendous difference in my life.  Through my writing, I hope to do so.

I see myself bringing joy to others with the stories I write, whether it be fiction or articles based upon my own life experiences.  I envision myself sharing my knowledge not only about writing poetry and fiction, but as a speaker, I hope to share my knowledge and personal experience with child abuse, how it impacted my life, and what I did to overcome, the emotional and psychological scars it left upon me.

I delve in depth about my strength in the Lord, and about how my belief and faith in him kept me strong during the difficult times in my life.

I envision myself talking about losing one of my brothers to death when he was only 17 years old, and stress the importance about not getting into a car of someone who has been drinking.  I also envision myself giving speeches about how it’s so important to prevent underage drinking, and about how minors have no business consuming alcohol.

In the future, I hope to make a difference through representing organizing such as M.A.D. D. and S.A.D.D.  I hope to stress the importance of how parents need to pay attention to what their kids are doing, who their friends are, and to make sure they themselves are exhibiting a positive influence on their children when it comes to their habits and overall parenting.

I visualize myself writing a Nobel Prize winning book or work of fiction or poetry.  I one day would life the entire world to have read my book Dominica’s Inferno which highlights the issue of child abuse.  Through this book, I enable the reader to not only read about the subject matter, but to participate in the overall experience, by briefly living life through the eyes of the character in the story, in order to gain a clear perspective and understanding as to what child abuse is all about.  In doing so, I wish to give them an experience they wouldn’t otherwise get through reading textbooks.

I envision for the future my book Dominica’s Inferno becoming a number one national bestseller, a New York Times bestseller, and eventually an international bestseller.

I hope to one day have this book made into a major motion picture by some major movie mogul who would take an interest in the story itself.  Through doing so, public awareness would be raised about the subject of child abuse on the global level, as well as on the national level.

I envision a world in the future with a huge decline in child abuse, because folks would be further educated about making changes in their lives and in the lives of their children when it comes to implementing safer disciplinary measures for children, instead of any parent reaching for a belt, strap or any weapon to use for disciplining their children.
